Pay on installation
Paying for your solar system upfront is the most financially sensible option. You don’t pay any interest or application fees and you start saving from day one returning a payback higher than you would currently get at a bank (current term deposit rates 3 percent). Some customers report payback periods of three years or less. After this time, all the savings are directly into your pocket for the remainder of the product’s 25-year life.

Home Loan Top Ups
If paying up front is not an option for you, the next best way from a financial perspective is to take advantage of the very low mortgage interest rates and ask your bank for a Home Loan Top Up.
All the major banks are happy to lend you money to add an asset to your home, and one that will also give you more money in your pocket at the end of each month. Most allow online applications and the process is quite simple.
We will support you by providing a detailed quote, estimated savings, technical specification, warranty information and anything else your bank may require.
Kiwibank even has a specific home loan suitable for solar where they contribute $2,000 (over four years) towards the cost of your system and waive top-up fees.
